Staff very helpful - allowed us to leave car in lot for 4 days while bicycling to and from Yosemite and then let us use a room to clean up.
Room very small with noisy A/C that would not turn off. This hotel has just been renovated but the quality was low and it looks out of place for a beautiful town like Mariposa. Also, it is no longer The Monarch, it is now a Super 8. This made it very hard to find.
It was in a good location, close to Yosemite.
Continental breakfast was horrible in the morning. A gallon of milk was simply left on the counter and was room temperature by 8:00 A.M. There was a choice of 2 cereals and waffles, nothing else. The outlet in our bathroom did not work, and I had to dry my hair at the bedside since the only mirror was in the bathroom. Manager was advised, but nothing was fixed and rate was never adjusted as compensation.
the beautyful roomsin the hotel
the bad englishskills of the hotel staff
The hotel was good price and clean. Breakfast was saticefied. very good!
The location was in the middle of town, which was convenient.
It wasn't the Monarch, it was a Super 8 Motel. They just changed hands, the pictures we totally different than what it actually was. We would of never stayed there had we known that. It was not worth what it cost.
Location ~ near our daughter and family
Dirty, no clothes wrack, no chair, no hair dryer, did not have our current reservation made through you, only the one we had canceled, had to spend a lot of time arguing with the Indian couple about our reservation from you, which we had a copy of ~ they tried to charge us more, but finally consented ~ would never go there again nor would we recommend it in any way ~ for the above reasons as well.
Newely renovated hotel that is now part on Super 8 hotels. Clean, quiet hotel. Perfect exempt for the breakfast.
The breakfast was a problem. Minimal, toast, cereals and a waffle machine. Sometimes you had to wait for 20 minutes to get acces to the waffle machine. À bit far from the Yosemite park but there not much choice if you want an offordable hotel.
It was very difficult to find Didn't say Monarch but Super 8 motel. Inside of hotel so hot it was miserable walking to your room. The room took forever to cool off once the air was turned on. Not a good value for the money. I would not stay there again
Not much. Breakfast was just OK.
Well, what I didn't like - hard to find - drove up and down the street a few times. No fun after a long drive. There was no Monarch sign out front - just the Super 8 sign. You didn't tell us the Monarch was under construction - being changed from a Super 8. Refrigerator in every room - no! Not in 2 of the 3 rooms I booked. We should have been charged Super 8 prices - definitely paid too much. Not enough seating space for the included breakfast.
Well situated, quite close to Yosemite National Park.
IMHO, very expensive for what it has to offer.
Cheap and good location
Breakfast area improvised and clumsy. Not enough space and poor choice Hotel name not visible? Why??
The hotel was great, staff was wonderful, location was great. The place was very clean. I will be staying there again when I go back to Mariposa.
I liked very little at the Monarch/Super 8. The e-mail price and original price of the room was increased by 35 dollars. The mini breakfast is terrible. The rooms are over priced more like a hostel for backpackers. The beds are lumpy not comfortable.
I walked without shoes in the bedroom, i finished with an old stapple in the foot! The room was dirty it smells very bad In the room description, there was mention of coffe/tea machine. It was false The breakfast is ridiculous. There is only coffee orange juice and waffles The worst hotel of my life !
